Squaw Valley PlumpJack Wedding: Laura + Justin
Laura and Justin exchanged vows in Squaw Valley. By far, this is one of my favorite wedding venues in the area. The PlumpJack is a boutique hotel tucked into a quiet and secluded corner of Squaw Valley’s bustling village. Contrary to what you might think, it offers a peaceful and intimate setting for a Lake Tahoe wedding. Because there are countless entertainment and dining options nearby, you can fine-tune your stay as you wish. Although you do have a short drive to get to Tahoe City, Squaw Valley PlumpJack weddings are still very close to Lake Tahoe.
Many couples kick off their Lake Tahoe wedding with a welcome dinner. A welcome dinner is an alternative to an exclusive rehearsal dinner. In general it is a great option for a destination wedding because you can involve everyone. The day before the wedding, Laura and Justin invited everyone to the River Ranch Lodge and Restaurant. Due
Laura and Justin’s cover band “Mustache Harbor” was surely one of the highlights of the wedding. Surprisingly, I had never heard of them before. But after seeing them perform, I had to find out more. Their website says they want to spread a “Soft Rock Explosion”. They rocked the stage with covers of “All Night Long, Only the Good Die Young, Rikki Don’t Lose that Number, and Love Boat Theme.” The whole band lives in the Bay Area, but they made the trip to Tahoe with plenty of sailor hats and stick-on mustaches for everyone.
